St.Mary's Brownsea Island was built in the middle of the Nineteenth Century, by then then owner of the island, to serve an island population of about 200 people. From Easter to the end of September we have a Family Service every Sunday afternoon at 3.00pm. We get lots of enquiries about weddings on the island. If we can, we would love to help you, but we live under the same restrictions as other churches, so we do need to establish on what basis we might be able to conduct your wedding on the island. Please do email or phone us and we can talk this through with you. If you are on the island, please do come and visit the church.
